Hellertown Historical Society Hosts Annual Silent Chance Auction

Bid on Rare Antiques, Sports Memorabilia, and Local Treasures

HELLERTOWN, PA | February 2025 – The Hellertown Historical Society (HHS) is excited to announce its Silent Chance Auction, taking place on March 1, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Heller-Wagner Grist Mill Complex. 

This unique event offers attendees the opportunity to bid on rare antiques, sports memorabilia, and one-of-a-kind items donated by local businesses—all while supporting the preservation of Hellertown’s history.

Among the featured auction items are:

  • Nolan Ryan Signed Limited Edition Display
  • Mickey Mantle and Don Mattingly Signed Display
  • Phil Rizzuto Signed New York Yankees Batting Helmet
  • Vintage Theater Seats from the Sauconia Theater
  • 1910s Jacob Rupert Brewery Beer Barrel
  • 19th Century Boxing Lithographs and Antique Boxing Belt
  • Original Wood Case and Quart-Sized Glass Bottles from Hellertown Bottling Works
  • Four Rounds of Golf at Steel Club

In addition to the silent auction, there will be raffles, entertainment, and light refreshments. Raffle prizes include Hellertown Pool Family Passes, a $100 Braveheart Highland Pub gift card, a Wine Tasting for Four, and much more.

“This is a first-of-its-kind event for HHS, and we are thrilled to showcase such a fantastic collection of items,” said Dennis Scholl, Education Committee Chair. “Proceeds will go directly to our Historic Preservation Fund, helping to maintain and improve our colonial and 19th-century buildings.”

The event is free and open to the public. Auction winners will be announced at 4:30 PM. Cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted (note: a 3% fee will be added to credit card purchases).
